In October, 2008 we opened Empire Solar Store as part of the USA Solar Store group. Our association with USA Solar allows us to offer our customers an unlimited inventory of renewable energy products and systems These include:

About the owners
In October, 2008, Rodney and Jolene Wiltshire of Troy, NY opened the Empire Solar Store under the umbrella of the USA Solar Store group. A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in electrical engineering, Rodney has over a decade of experience in several areas of engineering. His varied experience includes working as a software engineer with the Department of Energy and as an Enterprise Architectural consultant for NYFSO as well as a software developer. In addition to graduate credits in engineering Rodney's post-graduate work certifies him to design and install Photo Voltaic systems. He is certified by the North American Board Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
As young homeowners, Jolene and Rodney realize the impact energy costs can have on a family or business. They believe that renewable energy and sustainability saves money and will help protect the environment for future generations.
Rodney is an adjunct professor of Photovoltaics at Hudson Valley Community College and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, The National Society of Black Engineers and the Capital District Local First.
